PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method for opposite rotation of a DC motor by counter-electromotive force, capable of eliminating the need for sensors, thereby attaining cost reduction. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step of generating counter electromotive force by a controller, a step of detecting the counter electromotive force by an electrical comparison circuit, and a step of avoiding opposite rotation of the DC motor by outputting a signal and stopping the operation of the controller, when the counter electromotive force exceeds a prescribed threshold voltage. By detecting the counter-electromotive force of the DC motor, whether motor barking is completed is determined. Completion of motor braking is detected effectively using a simple electrical circuit.
