Colored mass is obtained by mixing disfibered collagenous material in aqueous solution containing a tanning agent and plasticizer, for example, glycerol for a time sufficient to obtain homogeneous mass. Suspension is prepared by mixing against introduction to collagenous material dry matter the mixture of pigment aqueous dispersions at 0.2-0.4% and hydrolyzate at 0.5-1.0%. Hydrolyzate-pigment suspension is obtained by adding the mixture of pigment aqueous dispersions into 0.9-2.5%-solution of protein hydrolyzate at pH being 3-4. The mixture of pigment aqueous dispersions is obtained by mixing red-, black- and yellow-colored pigment according to a formula dependence.
