SUBSTANCE: device has star-connected power winding, control winding whose coils are connected in parallel, and delta- connected compensating winding. High-voltage winding of transformer incorporating built-in converter is connected to reactor compensating winding leads and two dc output voltage leads of its converter whose thyristors employ Larionov circuit arrangement are connected to control winding. Synchronizing voltage is applied to pulse-phase control system from transformer secondary winding. Current through reactor power winding is controlled by means of proportional regulator in which built-in converter thyristor control angle is found from difference between setting voltage and voltage across reactor point of connection. As voltage rises above setting value, thyristor control angle steplessly changes from open- circuit angle to rated value with the result that saturation current through control winding accordingly increases and current through power winding as well as reactor power rise from open-circuit to rated values. EFFECT: simplified circuit arrangement, enhanced reliability and stability of control, enhanced speed of changing over to reactive power consumption mode. 2 cl, 1 dwg
