PURPOSE: A system and a method for recognizing a voice signal for reducing a load are provided to prevent a load from being applied to a central processing unit of a voice recognition computer system when a user does not give a voice instruction to allow other application programs to use a microphone. CONSTITUTION: A voice signal recognition system for reducing a load includes a microphone(10) connected to a computer system to receive an external signal, an amplifier(20) for receiving a signal output from the microphone and amplifying the signal, and a converter(30) for converting the amplified signal into another signal. The system further includes an audio board(40) for receiving the converted signal to output the signal to a memory, and a controller(50) for selecting input of a signal through the microphone.
