PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-assisted movable shelf which can move each shelf quickly and can form a path quickly even when many movable shelves need to be moved simultaneously. SOLUTION: A direct-current motor 52, which rotates wheels 8 forward and backward, and a driving circuit, which drives the motor forward and backward in a manner that a movable shelf 2 is moved to the right when operating a control switch 4 to move to the right and the movable shelf 2 is moved to the left when operating a control switch 6 to move to the left, are equipped. Plural power-assisted movable shelves are aligned so that one movable shelf can push and move the other movable shelves. A means for transmitting a signal transmits a signal to move to the right to the rest of the shelves placed to the right of the movable shelf only by operating the control switch to move to the right on the movable shelf. The driving circuit of the shelf to which a signal to move to the right or to the left is transmitted by the other shelf supplies the motor of the shelf with power not enough for the shelf to move by itself.
