PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float for fly fishing, which does not move along a fishing line during fishing. SOLUTION: This float for fly fishing is obtained by dividing a main body 11 into half float main bodies 11a, 11b which can be closed or opened on a hinge portion 12 at an outer peripheral edge, coating an adhesive on the half- divided faces of the half-divided float main bodies 11a, 11b, forming half threading axial hole portions 14a, 14b for forming a threading axial hole 14 having a diameter permitting the free movement of a fishing line 16 in the axial center portion, in the radially central portions of the half divided faces 13a, 13b, inducing the fishing line 16 in one half threading axial center hole portion 14a, closing both the half-divided float main bodies 11a, 11b to adhere the half-divided float main bodies 11a, 11b to each other in a state that the fishing line is extended in the threading axial center hole 14, and then inserting a free fishing line movement-inhibiting pin 15 into the treading axial center hole 14 to fix the float main body 11 to the fishing line 16.
