PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor which provides satisfactory results with regard to sensitometry and uniformity even though only a little amount of a solution is required similar to the amount to be used for replenishing a large tank processor, and a method for processing. SOLUTION: The method for processing photographic material is constituted to contain a process loading a photographic material into a chamber fitted to hold the photographic material, a process introducing a measured amount of the solution into the chamber, a process rotating the chamber, and a process forming waves inside the solution, through which the material is passed, by wiping off the surface of the material when the chamber rotates, and the method for processing is capable of uniformly processing by spreading the total amount of the solution for prescribed stages on the material overall in a repetition pattern.
