PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material excellent in preservability of a raw sample and excellent in scratch resistance of the raw sample and low in variation of sensitivity even when exposed in different humidity and also provide a method of producing the same. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having on one surface of a substrate a photosensitive silver halide emulsion-containing layer which contains a silver halide emulsion having average silver chloride content of 95-100 mol% and a non-photosensitive layer, the photosensitive material is hardened by a vinyl sulfonic type hardner and contains a compound represented by the following general formula (I).
