PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the poor production efficiency because of the need for brazing of hinge pieces in addition to the loosening of the way of turning of temples during use. SOLUTION: A hinge mechanism 3 comprises an annular body 3a projectingly disposed on a coupling 2a side of an endpiece 2 and a projection 3b projectingly disposed at a coupling 4a of the temple 4. The annular body 3a consists of a suitable blank, such as metal, and has a fitting slit 321 formed in a perpendicular direction and a turning slit 3a2 formed in a horizontal direction on its peripheral surface. The projection 3b has a through-hole 3b1 for insertion of the temple 4 and a space part 3b2 for communication with the through-hole 3b1. The space part 3b2 is constituted by aligning an anchor-like stopper projection 4b projectingly disposed on the coupling side of the temple 4 flush with the outer peripheral surface of the projection 3b and forming an elastic member 5, such as a spring, to a size at which the member can be elastically loaded into the projection 3b. The clearance from the endpiece 2 is maintained constant in the annular body 3a by the energizing force of the energizing member 5.
