PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which the space to arrange signal lines is not enlarged when a plurality of signal lines are arranged on one of the substrates of liquid crystal display elements and the occurrence of oxidization and electric corrosion of the signal lines is prevented even though a defect is generated in the protective film. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with liquid crystal display elements having a pair of substrates and liquid crystals sandwitched between the substrates, plural driving circuits, a display controller and a power supply circuit. The elements have plural signal lines on one of the substrates to supply the power supply voltages from the power supply circuit and the signals from the controller to the plural driving circuits. A portion of the plural signal lines is arranged with a wiring gap between mutually adjacent signal lines so that the strength of the electric field between adjacent signal lines determined by the voltages on the lines is set to the strength that does not generate electric corrosion.
