PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct ink supply-type writing utensil which inhibits the spewing of ink from a pen point side, to the repeated change of a rapid expansion/contraction of air inside an ink tank and secures a sufficient flow of ink for writing during the writing operation. SOLUTION: In the direct ink supply-type writing utensil 1 equipped with an ink tank 4 and a temporary ink storage element 5, provided inside a barrel, a tubular ink guide core 8 is installed and of such a construction that a tubular air displacement element 6 for making the inside of the ink tank 4 communicate with its outside is provided on the temporary ink storage element 5 side and the core 8 penetrates the element 5 in the axial direction and further, one 7a of the end parts is kept in contact with a partitioning part 3, while the other end part 7b is equipped with a pen core 7 formed of a porous material, installed protruding into the outside from the pen point side of the element 5. In addition, an ink guide core 8 is structured in such a way that the core 8 is arranged in the axial center direction inside the pen core 7 and one end part 8a penetrates the partitioning part 3, protruding into the interior of the ink tank 4 and the core 8 makes both end parts 8a and 8b communicate with each other.
