PURPOSE: A tail pulley belt protecting device is provided to simply remove the impurities from the top part of a return belt for preventing the tear or cut, thereby improving the equipment and transport efficiency and preventing the safety accidents. CONSTITUTION: A tail pulley belt protecting device includes a pair of vertical shafts(11,11') fixed to a pair of horizontal frames(18,18') downwardly and vertically, upper and lower traverse shafts(31,31') supporting the frames and the vertical shafts traversely, arms(12,12') fixed in the middle of the vertical shaft by pins(30,30') and having an end mounted with a sensing roll(10) and the other end connected to springs(13.13') and turn buckles(14,14') upwardly and vertically to be coupled with turn buckle fixing bars(31,31') of the frames, a scraper(20) supported by upwardly protruded supporting shafts(25) to a pair of horizontal supporting bases and connected to the sensing roll by links(26), and a circumferentially shaped tail pulley(2) contacting the sensing roll via a return belt(1) and facing a rear part of the scraper.
