PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the assembling and disassembling of a lens barrel having a lens group guided so as to advance. SOLUTION: The lens barrel has a lens frame having a guide hole which supports a photographic lens group and goes through in a direction parallel to the optical axis, a support cylinder into and from which the lens frame can be inserted and removed through a front end opening part, a stepped part for rod engagement placed in the support cylinder more backward than the front end opening part, a bracket which is attachable to and detachable from the front end surface of the support cylinder and prevents the lens frame from falling of by being mounted in the support cylinder, and an advancing guide rod projectingly formed from the bracket, in which the end of the bracket engages with the stepped part for rod engagement through the guide hole of the lens frame when the bracket is mounted in the support cylinder, which supports thereby the lens frame so that advancing movement can be performed with respect to the support cylinder. The lens frame can be removed from the front end opening part of the support cylinder by removing the bracket having the advancing guide rod from the front end surface of the support cylinder.
