PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system adaptive to a retrieval keyword, which can accurately extract only information that a user desired. SOLUTION: This information providing system is provided with a retrieval site (2) which receives a retrieval keyword specifying information as an object to be extracted, matches the retrieval keyword against marks included in URLs specifying sites (3, 4, and 5) set on the Internet (1), and extracts the sites (3, 4, and 5) specified with the matching URLs.
