PURPOSE: A shock absorber of a hood lock in a vehicle is provided to reduce impact transferred into a pedestrian by dropping a hood and to minimize damage of the pedestrian. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber of a hood lock for a vehicle comprises a strike mounted on a lower portion of a hood; a latch rotationally arranged on a lower portion of the striker; a combining groove(111) formed on the latch; a supporting bracket(120) guiding slide movement of the latch; a guide long groove(121) formed on the support bracket; a fixing lever(140) preventing a pulling lever(130) from pulling; a pressurizing bar(150) releasing a fixing state of the pulling lever from the fixing lever; a compressed spring(151) inserted to the pressurizing bar; a rotating lever(160) pressurizing the pressurizing bar by being rotationally mounted on a lower portion of the hood; an impact sensing lever revolving the rotating lever by being mounted on a lower portion of the hood.
