PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved turbine generator which can be realized in a comparatively low price and assures satisfactory cooling effect and enhancement of application efficiency of a machine, by improving a turbine generator of the type where an axial direction ventilator 9 is disposed on a shaft 6 to be driven to rotate, a partitioning frame 11 for partitioning a cooling gas inlet chamber 12 against an outlet chamber 13, and a path separator 16 which is coaxially disposed for the axial direction ventilator 9 to surround the ventilator in the radial direction are provided, an asymmetrical cooling gas guide is also provided and a means for realizing uniform guide of the cooling gas is also disposed within the inlet chamber 12. SOLUTION: The inlet chamber 12 forms a symmetrically rotatable annular chamber 19 within a region of an inlet opening 17 of at least the path separator 16, a cylindrical annular flange 20 is coaxially disposed for the axial direction ventilator 9 within the annular chamber, the annular flange is projected into the annular chamber 19, and a squeezing gap 21 in the radial direction extending in the perfect annular shape is formed at the inlet opening 17.
