PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera supervisory system that can display a desirably viewed image, while ensuring its data quantity. SOLUTION: The camera supervisory system is provide with an image-coding means that converts image data into compressed coded data, a recording means that records the coded data, and a control means that controls the quantity of the coded data sent to a terminal. The control means controls an output from the image coding means or an output from the recording means, so as to transmit the output to the terminal according to an instruction signal from the terminal.
