PURPOSE: An electron gun for cathode ray tube is provided to minimize a frictional force between the electron gun and a neck portion and prevent a falling phenomenon of a graphite by changing a contact shape of the neck portion of a bulb space connector. CONSTITUTION: A graphite(16) is applied on an inner side of a neck portion. A contact portion(19) is formed on the graphite(16). A bulb space connector(11) is contacted with a contact point(22). The contact point(22) is formed at a lower end portion of the bulb space connector(11) by shifting the contact point(22) to a cathode. In the contact portion(19), a horizontal width(w22) of a lower end portion opposite to a fluorescent side is wider than the width(w11) of an upper end portion. Accordingly, an electron gun is smoothly inserted from the inner side of the neck portion to the fluorescent side.
