摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A high-speed and high-density optical information storing device using unidimensional multiple-function and multiple probe row is provided to integrate optical probes in a radial direction in one row, and to selectively operate a cantilever system and a connection pad system, so as to contact the probes with a medium surface regularly or intermittently. CONSTITUTION: A recordable area on a disk media(30) is classified into small tracks and large tracks. A probe row between the short tracks and between the large tracks is moved by a dual motion and driving controlling unit in which a high-resolution motion and a low-resolution motion are integrated. The probes(10) are arranged in one row and each probe is attached to a free-end of an arm(22). The arm is moved in a radial direction of the disk media. The arm records and reproduces information while the disk rotates. Each probe has a light source and a light detector and is controlled independently. And the probes are fabricated with electric and thermal conductors, or coated with conductors on surfaces to apply electric and thermal conductivity to the probes.</p>
