PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a thrust needle bearing by applying uniform thrust load to a plurality of needles constituting the thrust needle bearing provided between an inside surface of a trunnion 6 and an outside surface of a power roller. SOLUTION: As the needle constituting the thrust needle bearing to prevent elastic deformation of the trunnion 6 at the time of an operation, a long needle is used so far as the needle does not interfere with the trunnion 6 and a displacement shaft 7. As a result, the needle backs up the trunnion 6 to suppress an elastic deformation amount of the trunnion 6. Abutting pressure of a rolling surface of each needle and a counter surface is prevented from remarkably making uneven in the longitudinal direction of each needle.
