摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a stable combustion state by optimally controlling an EGR quantity to a change in an operation state of an engine caused by a change with the lapse of time in a direct injection internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In a direct injection engine for directly injecting and burning fuel such as a gasoline in a cylinder, for stabilizing the combustion state by restraining a combustion change in respective cycles under an operation condition for recirculating a part of exhaust gas in a combustion chamber, opening of an EGR valve arranged in an EGR pipe for connecting an exhaust pipe and an intake pipe is respectively increasingly and decreasingly changed little by little by an optional fixed quantity, a fluctuation width of a rotating speed of a crankshaft changing according to the change is measured, the opening of the EGR valve becoming minimum in the fluctuation width of the rotating speed is sounded out, and the opening is set as opening of the EGR valve under the operation condition. This control method is applied to a system for performing internal EGR without being limited to such an external EGR system, and can be used for controlling the valve timing and a valve lift quantity.
