PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary generator for vehicle capable of improving workability in fixing a wire for wiring. SOLUTION: The rotary generator comprises a bushing 9 and a protection cap 10 to protect insulation of an output terminal 51. The cap 10 is composed of a surrounding part 100 to cover exposed parts of the output terminal 51 and a connecting part 102 to connect the surrounding part 100 to a rear cover 7. The surrounding part 100 is roughly shaped like a bowl, and a coronary mounting part 104 to mount the surrounding part 100 on an outer edge part of the bushing 9 is formed at an edge part of an opening side of the surrounding part 100. At an edge part of the connecting part 102, a latching part 108 to fix to a mounting hole 71 formed on the rear cover 7, so that the cap 10 can be mounted rotatably on the rear cover 7 with insertion of the latching part 108 into the hole 71.
