PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera and data transmission system for transmitting data between data processing blocks efficiently and effectively. SOLUTION: The electronic camera for transmitting data 11 from a first block 11 to a second block is provided with a data request means for notifying from the second flock, a request DQ of receiving data at least in prescribed units to the first block, a reservation means for giving information RS that outputting of the data of the prescribed units from the first block to the second block is prepared, and a data output means for outputting data from the first block to the second block based on the information RS of the data request means and the reservation means.
