PURPOSE: A method for selecting an image of an apparatus in a singing room is provided to designate an image according to a song as a basic value, and to enable a user to select various images according to a genre of a selected song in a series of menus. CONSTITUTION: A genre code corresponding to a song selected by a user is read. A basic image selection menu corresponding to the selected song and a genre image selection menu of the selected song are displayed on a displayer. A selected menu is discriminated. If the selected menu is decided as the basic image selection menu, a basic menu is displayed on the displayer. If the selected menu is decided as the genre image selection menu, a detailed genre image selection menu such as a dancing image of a singer or an image for a dancing lesson is displayed on the displayer. And an item selected by the user in the displayed detailed genre image selection menu is discriminated, to display the selected detailed genre image item on the displayer.
