PURPOSE: A radio frequency plasma display panel is provided to reduce power consumption and improve driving efficiency by reducing displacement current. CONSTITUTION: A radio frequency plasma display panel comprises a radio frequency earth electrode(8) arranged at the outer surface of an upper substrate(4); and a radio frequency electrode(6) arranged at the outer surface of a lower substrate(2). The radio frequency earth electrode causes a discharge by the radio frequency signal. The radio frequency electrode is fed with a radio frequency signal for sustaining discharge, and the radio frequency earth electrode is fed with a DC voltage corresponding to the reference voltage of the radio frequency signal being applied to the radio frequency electrode. The radio frequency plasma display panel further comprises a data electrode(10) and a scan electrode(12) which are arranged to be perpendicular with each other so as to cause an address discharge for selecting cells by the synchronized AC pulses. |
