PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel rotary throttle valve type caburetor excellent in the durability without changing the fuel restriction value during the long-time operation, preventing the value from exceeding an exhaust gas restriction value. SOLUTION: In the rotary throttle valve type caburetor, the opening of a restriction hole 20 of the throttle valve 12 is increased/reduced by the rotation of the throttle valve 12, and the opening of a fuel injection hole 19 of a fuel feed pipe 18 projecting toward the restriction hole 20 is increased/reduced by the axial movement of the throttle valve 12 and a fuel adjusting needle 15. A housing 32 with a bottom wall 45 for closing a valve chamber 17 is connected to the upper wall of a caburetor body 33 and a valve shaft 43 for connecting a throttle lever 2 to a boss part 41 on the upper surface of the bottom wall 45 is supported in the housing. A cam mechanism consists of a cam disk 10 abutting to the lower surface of the bottom wall 45 and a pin 46 with a follower 29 supported at the upper end of the throttle valve 12. A return spring 6 is engaged between a projecting piece 9 projecting from the cam disk 10 toward the inside of the housing 32 via an opening 28 of the bottom wall 45 and the throttle lever 2.
