PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic element which takes on particularly superior photostability of a yellow dye and retains desirable properties due to the use of an acetanilide yellow dye forming coupler and to provide low pressure sensitivity to a photographic element containing an acetanilide coupler. SOLUTION: The photographic element includes a silver halide emulsion layer with an acetanilide yellow dye forming coupler and a compound of formula I (where R1-R3 are each an aromatic, cyclic, linear or branched chain hydrocarbon group) in connection with each other.
