PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for wastewater treatment using ozone is provided, which shows drastically improved operation efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises the parts of a pump(10) for supplying raw wastewater; an ozone generator; an injector(12) for feeding ozone to raw wastewater; an agitator(16) for uniformly mixing ozone into raw wastewater; a nozzle(18) for accelerating reaction between ozone and organics; a reactor(20) for terminating reaction of ozone mixed wastewater; a gas/liquid separator(22) for maintaining reaction pressure of reactor by exhausting residual gas from the reactor; an exhaust ozone decomposer(24) for decomposing residual ozone contained in exhausted gas from the gas/liquid separator; and a jet sprayer(26) which sprays ozone treated wastewater into ozone treated wastewater stored in a storage tank under controlled reaction pressure and reaction time for the purpose of both accelerating reaction and maintaining residual ozone concentration stable.
