PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arbitrarily set the polarization plane radiating electromagnetic waves without thickening the whole antenna. SOLUTION: A second dielectric substrate 27 with a prescribed thickness is arranged to face the radiation face side of an antenna main body formed of a ground plate conductor 21, a first dielectric substrate 22, and metallic strips 24 with a prescribed interval made of an air layer, and a plurality of metallic strips 28 for outgoing pattern-formed in parallel with width and interval which is sufficiently smaller than that of the wavelength of plane waves radiating from the antenna main body at an angle different from the polarizing direction of the plane waves are arranged on the surface of the second dielectric substrate 27. Then, a polarization converting action is generated between the antenna main body and the metallic strips 28 according to the polarization selectivity of the antenna main body and the polarization selectivity of the metallic strips 28, and the polarization plane of the plane waves radiating form the antenna main body is converted into the direction orthogonally crossing the metallic strips 28, and outputted.
