PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the shapes (vehicle widths and vehicle lengths), speeds, and number of vehicles traveling on a road with high precision. SOLUTION: A traffic flow measuring system is provided with a camera device 40 having a camera photographing the vehicles traveling on the road 10 and a lens section for setting the visible field of the camera in the vehicle width direction just to maintain the resolution in the vehicle width direction and for widening the visual field range in the vehicle traveling direction larger than the visual field range in the vehicle traveling direction by the camera only, and a road side device 50 measuring at least the number of vehicles, vehicle widths, and vehicle lengths based on the image when vehicles exist directly below the lens section.
