PURPOSE: A semi-transmissive liquid crystal display is provided to prevent the light reflected against slant stepped portions from being leaked by covering the slant stepped portions by reflection electrodes, thereby increasing the contrast ratio. CONSTITUTION: A semi-transmissive liquid crystal display includes a substrate(210), thin film transistors formed on the substrate as switching elements, a first protection layer(260) covering the thin film transistors and having first transmission holes(262) and slant stepped portions around the first transmission holes, transmission electrodes(270) formed on the first protection layer with transparent conductive materials, and reflective electrodes(290) formed on the first protection layer to cover the entire surfaces of the slant stepped portions and having second transmission holes(291) at an upper part of the first transmission holes.
