PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight cable drum supporting device with excellent supporting workability. SOLUTION: This cable drum supporting device comprises first and second bearings 20 and 50 having first and second adapters which are rotatably fitted to each receiving part 4e of a pair of jacks 4 with the movement in the axial direction of the receiving part 4e regulated, and fitted to a center hole 1b in one side plate 1a of a cable drum 1 to support the cable drum 1, a shaft 15 freely piercing the second bearing 50 with one end thereof fitted to the first bearing 20 in an attachable/detachable manner and a male screw part formed on the other end side thereof, and a tightening member 61 for fixing the first and second bearings 20 and 50 so that the first and second adapters are fitted to the center hole 1b in the side plate 1a by screwing the tightening member in the male screw part of the shaft 15 extending from the second bearing 50.
