PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ferrule that enables low cost by reducing the length to use of a special optical fiber to be connected, without applying particular reinforcement work to an optical fiber at the fusion spliced part which lowers mechanical strength or bending performance, in structuring an optical transmission line with desired characteristics and functions through fusion splicing of the special optical fiber, which has specific optical characteristics and optical functions, to one end of the optical fiber transmission line. SOLUTION: The optical fiber ferrule 1 is structured in the manner that a second optical fiber 7 is connected to one end of a first optical fiber 6 through a fusion splicing part 8, that the free end of the second optical fiber 7 is arranged at the front end face 4A of the capillary of the optical fiber ferrule 1, and that the fusion splicing part 8 is fixedly sealed in the optical fiber inserting hole 5 of the ferrule 1.
