PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device and a video display method which are flexibly adaptive to changes of the pattern, color, etc., of a stereoscopic image and enable a stereoscopic image to be observed over a wide visual field and in a wide sight without requiring any special instrument. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a projecting means which projects a plane image on part or the whole of irregular unevenness on the front and/or reverse surface of a solid surface and a control means which controls the projecting means.
