PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain two-dimensional temperature information with only one motor by using a pyroelectric type infrared element. SOLUTION: A pyroelectric type infrared element 1 where a plurality of temperature sensing elements are arranged rectilinearly, a chopper 5, and a rotation transmitting mechanism 6 are provided in the interior of a rotating body 8 rotatably fitted to a mounting plate 10. The output of the motor 7 is transmitted at a different angular speed to the chopper 5 and the rotating body 8 by the rotation transmitting mechanism 6, whereby chopping of the pyroelectric type infrared element 1 and rotational repetition of the rotating body 8 are performed by one motor 7, so that a two-dimensional temperature measuring device having superior contamination resistance and noise proof property can be reduced in size, and weight and made inexpensive.
