摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve collation performance and collation accuracy of an image- collating system at the same time. SOLUTION: A characteristic point information setting processing part n10 finds all characteristic point range r1 of the parent characteristic points of a filed palm print data and calculates a selected characteristic point coordinate range r2, provided by reducing the all characteristic point range r1 by a scaling factor b1 and stores a characteristic point information of the selected characteristic point included in the selected characteristic point coordinate range r2 into a field characteristic point information storing area f1. An alignment processing part n20 performs coordinate alignment processing of coordinates of search palm print data and coordinates of field palm data, to narrow down characteristic points to be considered, based on characteristic point information of the search palm print data and characteristic point information of the selected characteristic points of the fileld palm print data. A palm print collation processing part n30 performs collation of characteristic points to be considered which is selected by the alignment processing part n20. A collation result determining part n40 discriminates the collation result provided by the palm print collation processing part n30.
