PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating frame capable of reducing stresses at joint portions, making the jointing work easier, stably maintaining a high reliability of a hydraulic excavator over a long period of time and further reducing the weight. SOLUTION: This is a rotating frame for the hydraulic excavator equipped with a pair of parallel main frames 5 and 5. Each of main frames 5 and 5 has a plate-shaped front portion 8 formed with a pivotally supported portion below the frames and a plate-shaped rear portion 9 to which the load of weight portion acts. The plate-shaped front portion 8 and the rear portion 9 are connected together through a joint portion 17 extended in up-down direction. And the upper end 17a of the joint portion 17 is located closer to the center of rotation than the lower end 17b.
