PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single row ball turning bearing capable of smoothly turning a turn table receiving an eccentric load. SOLUTION: A retainer 6 holding a ball in the peripheral direction between raceway surfaces of an inner retainer 6 and an outer ring is divided into eight segments 6a in the peripheral direction, and a length L in the peripheral direction of each pocket 11 of the retainer 6 is set to be larger than a diameter of the ball so that tensile load and compression load are not applied to the retainer 6, the bearing rotates smoothly, and the turn table is turned at stable turn torque even if moment load accompanied with the eccentric load to the turn table acts on the bearing and relative advance delay phenomenon of the ball occurs.
