PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording and reproducing device, constituted to permit the easy management of the accuracy of the inclination of a disk and an optical pickup and the precision of their relative positions. SOLUTION: This information recording and reproducing device makes the pickup relatively more with the disk which is an information recording medium, while rotating the disk by a disk-rotating mechanism and records or reproduces the information to or from the disk by this pickup; and this device is constituted for fixing the disk rotating mechanism, while abutting the mounting reference plane of the disk rotating mechanism on guide means for guiding the movement of the pickup.
