PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective book distribution system capable of preventing a book from being stolen and exhibiting enhanced anti-theft effect wherein a tag is not easily peeled off. SOLUTION: This book distribution system is constituted of a step for attaching a tag on the book or a packaging body thereof which can store ON condition or OFF condition, a step for displaying the book with the tag in the ON condition in a book store 904, a step for exchanging the tag from the ON condition to the OFF condition when selling the book to a customer 905, and a step for sounding an alarm when the book in the ON condition passes a gate placed on an exit of the store.
