PURPOSE: Nonwoven fabric for decoration and a production process thereof are provided, thereby preparing the nonwoven fabric having antimicrobial action, drug resistance and high fire prevention. CONSTITUTION: A process for producing the nonwoven fabric for decoration comprises the steps of: inserting semi-synthetic fiber or natural fiber together with fire retardant into a vacuum vessel and pressurizing the mixture thereof so as to insert the fire retardant into the semi-synthetic fiber or natural fiber; mixing the pre-treated semi-synthetic fiber or natural fiber with synthetic fiber to produce a sheet shaped crude nonwoven fabric; and coating the crude nonwoven fabric with a coating material, wherein the coating material is produced by mixing red phosphorous, phosphorous fire retardant such as phosphate or phosphine oxide and inorganic fire retardant such as alumina dihydrate or magnesium hydroxide with halogen fire retardant to produce a fire retardant; mixing water repellent with acryl binder and stirring the mixture thereof; and adding a foaming agent such as sodium hydrogen carbonate, ammonium nitrite or ammonium carbonate into the mixture and stirring them.
