PURPOSE: A digital camera and a method for carrying out panorama mode are provided to easily carry out the panorama mode manually by corresponding a border line of a first photographed area with any one border lines of a current photographing area by scrolling the screen oppositely from a movement direction of an image input part. CONSTITUTION: A method for carrying out panorama mode of a digital camera includes the steps of displaying right, left, upward and downward reference border lines of a photographing area of a current screen(S1), and displaying the screen by scrolling in the opposite direction from movement direction of the border lines of a first photographing area by sensing the movement direction of the current screen as the photographing of the first photographing area is carried out(S2-S5).
