PURPOSE: To provide a connector capable of preventing or restraining the deformation of an actuator, in a ZIF(zero insertion force) type connector for an FPC/FFC(flexible printed circuit board/flexible flat cable) wherein the distance between contact legs and stabilizer legs of a contact group is expanded by the actuator of a rotary type. CONSTITUTION: In this connector for an FPC/FFC, plural contacts each having the contact leg to the FPC/FFC and the stabilizer leg corresponding to the contact leg are composed of the first contact group and the second contact group aligned in parallel with one another, the actuator is provided with a cam part engaging with the stabilizer leg of the first contact group and a pressed part engaging with the stabilizer leg of the second contact group, the cam part of the actuator elastically deforms the stabilizer leg of the first contact group so as to increase the distance to the corresponding contact leg when the actuator is rotated from a lock position to an unlock position, and the pressed part is so formed that the stabilizer leg of the first contact group receives force in the opposite direction to that of force applied to the actuator by the stabilizer leg of the second contact group when the actuator is rotated from the lock position to the unlock position.
