PATH GUIDE METHOD IN VEHICLE NAVIGATION APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A path guide method in a vehicle navigation apparatus is provided to improve a path guide and to prevent a confusion of user due to a supply of an unsuitable previous path guide message by selectively providing a previous path guide message depending on a status of free run. CONSTITUTION: A path guide method in a vehicle navigation apparatus includes the steps of: checking(104) whether or not a vehicle is on a normal traveling in a preset range of a cross road based on a fabricated guide data supplied from a traffic information center through a mobile communication; determining(114) whether a free run status exists not to supply a previous path guide message for confusing the user based on the preset free run conditions when the vehicle is on a normal traveling in the preset range of the cross road; and selectively supplying the previous path guide message to a driver of the traveling vehicle depending on the free run status.
