PURPOSE: A safety aid device for a wheel chair is provided to improve the convenience of manipulation thereof, thus enabling a handicapped person to conveniently use it by manipulating an operating lever by oneself. CONSTITUTION: The safety aid device for a wheel chair comprises a fixed frame(1) at the lower side of the wheel chair rear portion, a movable frame(2) having wheels(4); a locking device(3) connecting the fixed frame with the movable frame to fix them; and an operating lever(5) used to unlock the locking device to fold and raise it. Alternately, a wire mechanism is able to be used instead of the lever.
