PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knife auxiliary tool for safely cutting a vegetable such as peeling, slicing by adjusting a cutting depth. SOLUTION: The knife auxiliary tool 1 to be mounted to a knife 2 has a pair of holding parts 12 to be fixed removably to the knife 2 and a guiding part 14 for connecting a pair of the holding parts 12. A guide face 15 forming a plane separated from the plane of the knife 2 in the state of holding the knife 2 by the holding part 12 is formed at the guide part 14 to make it possible to adjust a separating distance H between the surface of the knife 2 and the guide face 15.
