PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a thickness of a liquid layer, particularly an oil film at a roller by a simple method economically while saving time by improving a method and an apparatus for measuring the thickness of the liquid layer. SOLUTION: There are set method steps for measuring the thickness of the liquid layer 12 with the use of measuring devices 20, 20' and 20" in a printing machine.
