PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilized high-voltage CD power source using a piezoelectric transformer to which a simple circuit configuration, capable of supplying stable high DC voltage is introduced, so that the transformer may keep efficient operations even in an ultra high magnetic field. SOLUTION: This stabilized high-voltage DC power source is provided with a driver circuit 1 which generates a high-frequency alternating circuit from DC power supplied from the outside, the piezoelectric transformer 2 driven by means of the output of the circuit 1, and a converter circuit 3 which generates a high DC voltage from the output of the transformer 2. The power source is also provided with an error-detecting circuit 5 which monitors the output voltage of the converter circuit 3 and detects deviation of the voltage from a set high output voltage and a frequency modulation circuit which controls the driver circuit 1 by generating a pulse output, having a frequency proportional to that of the output of the detecting circuit 5. The converter circuit 3 which generates the high DC voltage from the output of the transformer 2 improves the conversion efficiency of the transformer 2, by adjusting the impedance mismatch between the output of the transformer 2 and the load 4 of the high-voltage DC power source.
