IMPROVED COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR TREATING PHOTOGRAPHIC WASTE LIQUOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material capable of gradually releasing the set amount of an active organic compound into wastewater and readily packageable. SOLUTION: This composite material comprises the active organic compound dispersed therein and has an improved structure. A method for treating a waste liquor, especially a photographic waste liquor is provided. The composite material comprises an aluminosilicate polymer matrix in a fibrous form in which at least two separate fibers are mutually connected through at least two covalent bonds to form an irreversible chemical gel and the active organic compound dispersed in the matrix and assumes a form of a structured gel. The diffusion of the hydrophilic active organic compound can be controlled by selecting the degree of crosslinking of the matrix. The method for producing the composite material is further provided.
