PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter that can reduce electromagnetic noise and surface voltages, and that can be simplified in circuit configuration and control action. SOLUTION: When a transistor Q1 is turned off, an auxiliary LC circuit 400 suppresses the potential drop at a junction C of the output terminal of the transistor Q1, by discharging the energy stored during the turned-on period of the transistor Q1 to the junction C. Consequently, the switching loss of transistor Q and surge noise can be reduced, because the potential difference (voltage drop) between both terminals of the transistor Q, when the transistor Q1 is in a turned off state is reduced.
